Welcome to the homepage of the movie Beyond the Real Life.

Beyond the Real Life is a fan movie set in World of Warcraft universe. The movie's genre could be called LARPM - Live Action Role Playing Machinima, which means that we combine standard machinima practices (in-game footage) with live action shots of real actors.

The movie is a comedy / parody of World of Warcraft's game mechanics, players and lore and centeres around a simple story, seamlessly blending together the in-game and real life worlds. Our main hero is a human warrior named Tank who falls in love with Earie - a beautiful night-elf priest. They meet in a fight against horde gankers, where Earie helps Tank survive. Soon after though, Earie gets into trouble and Tank finds himself on a quest across the continent to save her, accompanied by his long-time best friend - a gay paladin Bubbleballs. What adventures and situations they get into is the heart of this 40 minute movie in which almost every shot is a combination of in-game items, characters, or environments with real life footage and special effects.

We started making this movie about four years ago, but the production suffered from many pauses, longest of which is credited to the release of The Burning Crusade expansion (damn you, Blizzard!). After several other reasons, we picked up the production again in the summer of 2010, with the goal to finish the movie no matter what. Now that most of the work is done, Beyond the Real Life will be released in December. Stay tuned for a more specific date.
